Homemade Chocolate Syrup

Ingredients 

1 cup cocoa powder

1 cup water

½- ¾ cup maple syrup/cane sugar (depends on your preferred sweetness)

½ tbsp vanilla 

¼ tsp salt

Directions 

In a saucepan combine water cocoa, sugar vanilla and salt .

Bring everything to a boil over medium/ low heat.

Boil for 5 mins while whisking constantly( to avoid the chocolate from burning) till it thickens.


Remove from heat and allow it to cool before transferring it into a glass jar with a lid and store in the fridge.


 It remains edible for up to 2 months.
