Sweet Chilli Sauce

Sweet chilli sauce Recipe.

Ingredients

Dried chilli flakes ¼ cup

Sugar 1 cup

Water 2 cups

Cornstarch 1tbsp

Procedure

Step 1: make the syrup 

In  a pan add the sugar and water bring it to a boil while gently stirring till the sugar dissolves 

and the syrup is formed

Step 2: add the chilli

Add in the chilli flakes and stir

Step 3 : thickening the mixture

In a separate bowl put one tbsp of cornstarch and add some cold water then give it a good stir till the

 cornstarch is fully dissolved.

Add this mixture to the syrup, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about five more minutes and 

continuously stir gently to prevent it from sticking to the sides. Let it cool fully before storing it in

 glass jars and refrigerating. 

The sauce can be used in marinating as well as garnishing or even as a dip for those that love

 to spice up their foods.
