Simple Rice Recipe

   SIMPLE RICE RECIPE

    Ingredients:                            

  • 1 cup rice (white or brow                      
  • 2 cups water
  • ½ teaspoon salt (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon butter or oil (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water to remove excess starch.
  2. Boil the water in a pot over medium heat. Add salt and butter/oil if using.
  3. Add the rice to the boiling water, stir once, and reduce the heat to low.
  4. Cover the pot with a lid and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes (white rice) or 40-45 minutes (brown rice) until all the water is absorbed.
  5. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve warm
