Creamy mushroom pasta

Ingredients:

8. ounces pasta (fettuccine or penne)
tablespoons olive oil
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Red pepper flakes (optional)

    Instructions:

    1.    Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

    2.    In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add mushrooms and cook until browned.

    3.    Stir in the spinach and cook until wilted.

    4.    Reduce heat and add the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Stir until combined and creamy.

    5.    Toss in the cooked pasta, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve warm.
